& Ann McCallum
Hello, my name is Laura and I started Senior Driving & Mobility Services in 2008. I am an occupational therapist and certified driving rehabilitation specialist. I have 25 years of experience in the clinic and 15 years of experience completing comprehensive driving evaluations.
Ann McCallum is an occupational therapist with 15 years of experience in the clinic and joined my practice in 2021.
Our mission is to maximize the ability of a mature adult to maintain independence in their home and community while preserving their safety and dignity.
We Need A Referral
Contact your physician for a referral for a comprehensive driving evaluation and have them fax it to us at (317) 245-2476. If needed we can get a referral for you.
Make An Appointment
Call (317) 489-0804 and speak with us today to schedule a comprehensive driving evaluation.
We will schedule a time to meet with you and begin with written tasks prior to proceeding to the on-road evaluation. You must pass the clinical portion to proceed to behind-the-wheel.
We will deliver the results of your evaluation at the time of your appointment. A full report will be available to you within 3-5 business days.
In addition to comprehensive driving evaluations, we also offer driving screens for well elderly looking to be proactive. The results of the driving screen are shared only with the client.
What to Have:
"Thank you again for all the time, patience, professionalism and knowledge you shared with my father and me. Who knew that a driving evaluation could be fun!"
"Many thanks to you, my doctor, and the Indiana BMV for returning my driving priveleges!"
"I am deeply grateful to you for your courage and patience to demonstrate that I could learn to use hand controls and become an independent driver again."
"As a physician, I realize that advising someone not to drive is one of the most difficult discussions for my practice. Pass or fail, you have been gentle and fair with my patients."
"I have been a navigator for longer than I should have, but my husband agreed that I should resume driving since he is now unable to do so. Your wonderful program gave me that confidence."
“You made a difficult and feared process comfortable. Thank you!”
"At a time when our family was feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about what to do, your gentleness was so appreciated. While the news was tough, you helped us all to move forward."
"Thank you for this most complete driving evaluation and, most of all, for being such a kind and gentle person."

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the clinical evaluation include?
Pre-driving clinical assessment includes evaluation of vision, cognition, physical abilities, behavior, judgment, attention, and perception.
Where do you perform the evaluation?
We drive to a location of your choice and begin in the home to complete the necessary paperwork prior to taking the behind-the-wheel portion.
How do I prepare for the evaluation?
We do not recommend that you study for the evaluation. We use standardized tests and measures. A basic road signs and road rules questionnaire is included.
What happens if I don't pass the driving evaluation?
If you do not pass the comprehensive driving evaluation several outcomes are possible and will be discussed at that time.
If you or a caregiver would like more information on the process of
how and when to help your family member or client retire from driving,
we can help. If driving becomes difficult due to physical, visual or mental
changes, a professional, comprehensive driving evaluation can identify areas
that may require training or adaptations to improve driving safely.
We offer a variety of alternative transportation resources and mobility solutions
when we recommend driving retirement.
We offer driving screens as well as comprehensive driving evaluations for those
clients who want to be proactive in determining their fitness to drive and
prolong their driving years. The recommendations of the driving screens are
shared only with the client.
